Ms. Sushma Thapa is a young and dynamic Computer Engineer with more than 10+ years experience in American Multinational Company, Leading team of more than 50 software engineers in software development and launching work in Kathmandu, Nepal. She is an avid music, adventure and nature lover, with keen interest in Travelling across the Globe. She was travelled to Asian and European Countries for business and tourism.

Being first generation Entrepreneur, she has entered in Nepalese business world with Hope Corporation Pvt. Ltd. Since 2019 as Founder & Chairperson. Hope Corporation started with aim to empower the Nepalese woman through honey business. She and her team is involved in training to Nepalese local and tribal woman bee keepers on bee keeping, honey and wax harvesting –storage – supply. Hope Corporation is focusing on domestic and export markets for high valued medicinal quality honey and wax. The brand they have developed is as “GUNDU”. Company has their own collection, processing, packaging and export house in Kathmandu, Nepal and 40,000 sq.ft. open land for new ventures.

Her focus on solutions is what keeps her going. “Entrepreneurship has to be driven by passion to solve an existing problem – almost obsessive – that will keep you strong and focused during the tough times – and that there will be. It is part of the entrepreneurial journey.”

Though still early in her career, and facing all the challenges typical of start-up entrepreneurs, Sushma is sanguine about her prospects. “It’s in the most difficult times that we discover our capabilities. When you are passionate, you do not give up. Women are the strength of family, the strength of a country, a continent. So women, never give up - our countries need us.”

Her vision is to bring technologies in collaboration in the agricultural and renewable energy sectors to Nepal for woman empowerment, and she knows what it will take to achieve it. “Building a company takes more than just great products,” she says. “It takes time, effort, commitment, vision, direction, execution, and passion!”.

Hope Corporation is a joint venture partner with Trigun Energy Solutions for entire Nepal country in production, supply and service to Biogas, Biomass, solar, Micro wind and hydro technology.

“Our goal is to bring technologies to develop innovative products which have general and regional application so that we can grow the company beyond Nepal,” she explains.
