WHAT WE DO
Hydro Power Plants use the efficiency of the movement of water to generate electric power. The basic principle of the hydropower plant is very simple - A general hydropower facility requires a constant discharge of water from a reasonable height called the head through pipers or channels into a turbine, which rotates as the pressure of the flowing water falls on it. The rotation of the turbine blades caused the shaft connected to it to rotate which is connected to an electric generator that converts the mechanical energy into electrical energy.
The Micro, Mini and small hydropower plants both work on the same basic principle of the generation of electric energy through the power of flowing water. The basic difference between them is their capacity for power generation.
The Micro hydropower plant generate power between 1 kW to 100 kW while Mini hydropower plants are installed for power generation in the range of 101 kW to 2 MW. These can be used for electric power generation on small streams, channels, micro waterfalls, and other flowing water sources. These require comparatively low investment. These can serve the purpose of small and remote communities that require a little amount of electricity consumption, for example, to light up two light bulbs and a fan in 50 to 60 homes.
Small hydropower plants are however the generation of power on a comparatively larger scale to serve a small community or even an industrial plant. Their power generation capacity varies from a range of 2 MW to 10 MW. These are suitable for larger energy communications.
We deal with all types of hydropower plants and can customize them according to your preferences.
